After featuring a couple of digital artists it’s nice to see that the good old fashion handwork is still out there. These Pinup drawings are made by Michael Lindabury and they are kind of a mixture of a direct comic drawing style and a spontaneous usage of the paint.
The pinup girls that are the main subject in these drawings are posed in the way we are used to from erotic magazines and photos but Michael Lindabury gives them a humorous twist, or attaches personal ideas to them. Like the one where several drawings are placed on top of each other. The linear pinup figure and the more textured posing nude are surrounded by all kinds of attributes, hands, a gun etc… This images is almost like a visual memory of the artist, very direct and with a nice graphical touch.
