How would you personally describe the nature of your art?
I would definitely say it is erotic art. I like it most when the model is posing not too soft but also not vulgar. There must be something left to stimulate your own imagination. Everybody has a different idea of what is erotic but in my pictures I show it the way I see it.
What artists, art periods, are an inspiration for your own work? And in what way?
There aren’t photographers or artists I get my inspiration from. I like to create my own style of photography and avoid copying these of others. For me it is important to do something that’s from myself, a creation that is coming from the inside, with an original and tasteful view on the female nude.
Where are your ideas coming from? Does your work reflect your own erotic fantasies & desires?
My ideas are coming from my own imagination. I am always busy trying to find new sensual and erotic poses for my erotic nudes. The pose is very important to me and in combination with the light I want to create an effect that is stimulating the desires of the person who is looking at the picture, male or female. The most important for me is that the model gets into the erotic mood and let herself go to bring over the most sensual expression she can give.
What you biggest artistic frustration? Or main struggle in your creation process?
For every model you have to find the pose that fits best with her and that is a process that can take some time. What is not a nice pose for one model can be superb for the other one. It is not a frustration it is just needing time to get to know the model your working with and that is not always possible. When I work with a model the second time, it gives me more possibilities because I’ve already worked with her and know her better to create something different.
Is it easy to find places to display your work?
It is absolutely not easy to find a place to show my work to a bigger audience. There is still a taboo concerning erotic photography in my country but I’m still looking for others ways to try to exhibit my work.
