Everything about this image is perfect, the light that softly touches the naked body, the black background is giving it a strong suspense, even the white lines on the floor are contributing to the simple but subtile composition. Ok, I’m getting lyrical, but this image is erotic art at it’s finest.
Paul Churchman’s is working on two different concepts in his art. The first one is like the one I was so exited about before. Rather classic nude photography. The other concept he is working on is digital manipulated erotic art. I assume though he manipulates most of his photos afterwards, but these ones have a more obvious added affect, Like the flower series and the colored ones.
Personally I prefer the ‘normal’ ones. Not because I think the other ones are bad images, but somehow the mixing of techniques is not integrated enough in my opinion. But there are some exceptions, like the flower image in the gallery and the white nude.
