In most of his work there is a clear relation between his commercial photography and his artistic nudes. I guess it’s the slim, sharp approach of the subject, and the clean, direct, way of communication he’s familiar with. Most of the nudes have a rather rational setup, with heavy coloring, sharp contrasts and much attention for the visual effect.
But there’s also an other side of this photographer, a more tactile, sensitive one. When you enter the Jardins privés, the private gardens, you really have a different experience. These works are more about feelings, touching and hiding. If a photographer comes close in visualizing fragrance, maybe even of tasting, then this is as close as it gets.
Pierre’s statement on his website: “All the creatures of our nature are so beautiful, respect them all, if you believe in God or not, does not matter. They deserve to have their images defined for eternity, so their spirit can breathe in your mind”
Pierre just finished a beautiful calendar, with a very original mixture of female sensuality and the Samurai theme. The Masterpiece of this project is definitely the one of a nude woman holding a Samurai sword on her back. Composition wise, and thematically a marvelous image.
