I often have the tendency to display the more serious, somewhat darker, erotic art on the Art of Love, at least thats something visitors often tell me. I’m not sure if thats just a personal preference, or that erotica and humor are just hard to mix in general, without making it a slapstick or just hilarious.
Anyway, Georgie Tier is a one of those artists that’s surely capable of playing with both, humor and sexuality. She uses her typical graphical style to make us look at sex, and ourselves, with a smile.
Her work will be shown in October and early November in the Pompidou Centre in Paris. Later in November she will exhibit her work on the Battersea Contemporary Art Fair and in the Erotica show in North London (Sunday 5th December). Next year she will show her work in Las Vegas at the opening of the Erotic Heritage Museum, I will let you know when I have more details about this exhibit.
