I’m not really surprised that Roy Stuart is also involved in film. The photos are already showing that in his heart he’s storyteller with a good feeling for dramatical development and atmosphere. The film ‘The Lost Door’ by his hand will be out this summer. On the website of the movie are some film stills to give us an impression. I hope the movie will also be available to the public outside France, the screens look promising indeed.
One thing I really find remarkable, well besides his encounter concept, is that he is capable of shooting rather explicit sex scenes without getting raunchy. The dignity and style of the photographed persons remains totally intact. One reason for this will be that he concentrates himself more on the whole image, the entire form of the couple, instead of just the genitals, but it’s also just his eye for beauty.
