Dark Angels in the define battle with the angels of the light. Or what about a red dark angel with a large axe riding, and commanding, three naked male angels? These images are a small representation of an upcoming exhibit of Martin Toye.
Martin Toye is experimenting with a lot of new ideas in this project. In his earlier work the images are very natural, spontaneous and pure. In the Angels and Demons project he is using a much more theatrical approach. Costumes, colors and make-up have entered his work. And in a way the buildings where the photo shoot is taking place has a larger role in the images, it’s getting more integrated with the subject.

But besides his new ideas, some of the old one’s still remain valid. The intense focus on the expression of the body, the typical Toye kind of story telling and of course the talent in getting ‘normal’ people posing naked for the camera. The Angels and Demons , Angeles y Demonios, exhibit is opened on the 6 of may at the Museum De Bellas Artes in Parana.
