Completely Naked is an artistic partnership between Claire Ward-Thornton and Pau Ros. These London based artists are involved in different art projects with Naked People as their primary subject. Their art contains mostly photography, interactive installations and live performance like projects. The Naked People on display are normal people and I really mean ‘normal’ this time.
This is really one of the strong aspects of their work, we can reflect to the work, see ourselves, and others for what we are. Beneath our clothes, our fancy talks , we are just Naked People. I can not help myself thinking of the book ‘The Naked Ape’ of Desmond Morris. Where the human body and behavior are studied from a zoological point of view. I can assure you after reading this book, you will never look at the human body the same as before. And I have the same feeling with the works of the project ‘Completely Naked’. It is displaying the human body from a different angle than we are used to.
